Jose Mourinho, who will return to Stamford Bridge for his second stint as Chelsea‘s manager admitted that he would find it difficult to control his emotions on his return.
“When I go to my stadium, my dugout, my people, I will have to control it a little bit. It will be a couple of minutes and then I can concentrate on the game,” Mourinho said.
The Portuguese left Stamford Bridge in 2007, three years before the expiry of his contract, after his relationship with the club’s owner Roman Abramovich went sour. He has since been with Inter Milan and then with Real Madrid.
Mourinho also said that he would like to take the squad to the stadium for a training session on Saturday, so that the new signings can get used to the layout and the environment of the stadium.
“We train there tomorrow because I want the boys to know where the dressing room is, where the dugout is,” he said.
On his own feelings and the fans reactions, he said: “I will feel something different for sure. On Sunday, I think the fans will focus on me and [owner] Roman [Abramovich] but then they have to forget us and focus on the team.”
