The India national football team remain in 166th spot in the FIFA Rankings after the latest release on Thursday.
India hasn’t played a single international match since the 0-2 defeat to Singapore in a friendly in October but will be taking on Palestine (152) in an international friendly on February 6 in Kochi. In Asia, India continue to occupy the 31st place.
National head coach Wim Koevermans will be hoping to get a positive result in that match, both to gain some points and build confidence ahead of the AFC Challenge Cup 2014 qualifiers in March.
India have been drawn in Group A of the qualifiers alongside hosts Myanmar (162), Chinese Taipei (172) and Guam (181).
The next release of the FIFA Rankings is scheduled for February 14.
