India vs Myanmar AFC Asian Cup Qualifier - India's Starting XI

India are set to take on Myanmar on Tuesday in a Group A match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers. With 12 points in the group, India have already qualified for the 2019 AFC Cup. They had a wonderful qualification tournament, winning all 4 games till now, scoring 8 goals and conceding just 1 in four matches.

India had won their away game against Myanmar 0-1 with captain Sunil Chhetri scoring the only goal. They followed that up with a 4-1 rout of Macau. India will hope to continue their form in Goa and try to finish the qualification without unbeaten.

Goalkeeper - Gurpreet Singh Sandhu

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu is undoubtedly one of India's best players and will start in front of goal against Myanmar. Having the experience of paying in Europe, Gurpreet is strong against any threat posed by the opposition strikers.

Having just conceded 5 goals from the last 8 games this year, Sandhu is in blistering form. The tall Bengaluru FC player is one of the names that comes by default to Stephen Constantine's starting lineup.


Defenders

Anas Edathodika, the 30-year-old Kerala-born defender, has been in fine form in all of the qualification matches, and is set to continue in Stephen Constantine's starting XI. Anas has a lot of experience and is inch-perfect with his tackles. Both him and Jhingan will look to form a wall at the heart of the defence.

Left Back - Narayan Das

The Bengal born left back has displayed fine form recently for both club and country, and like his counterpart on the right, he is adept at both defence and attack. The 24-year-old FC Goa player has got good experience, and is set to start against Myanmar as a left-back.

Midfield

The 25-year-old Kerala Blaster player is lightning-quick. His fast attacking moves through the wings will come helpful for India's attack. The experienced midfielder has been in good form in all the qualifying matches, and is expected to start against Myanmar.

Rowllin Borges was one of India's goal scorer against Macau, a victory that sealed India's berth in AFC Asian Cup 2019. The strong box-to-box midfielder is good at controlling the midfield, and helping the team win the ball back. Rowllin has been in fine for recently for the natioanal team, and is expected to start against Myanmar.

Central Midfield - Eugeneson Lyngdoh

The 31-year-old central midfielder is the most experienced player in the midfield for India. Lyngdoh is a player who creates a lot of chances for the attackers. He will start against Myanmar as his experience will come in handy for India.

Holicharan is expected to start on the right side of the midfield.

Forwards

The Mizoram-born striker has a good combination with Sunil Chhetri, and is a prolific goalscorer. Jeje has scored 19 goals and is composed in front of the goal. With Balwant Sigh out injured, Jeje is set make the cut for the starting XI.
