India have been placed in Group A of the 20 team qualifiers to the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup to be played in the Maldives, which is a qualification tournament for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup for the second tier nations in Asia. In the qualifiers, Team India have been drawn in Group A alongside Myanmar, Chinese Taipei and Guam with Myanmar chosen to be hosts of Group A with matches to be played on March 2, 4 and 6 this year.
The five group winners and the two best second-placed teams will join host nation the Maldives at the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup finals next year.
