Stephen Constantine's men have qualified for the AFC Asian Cup, which will be held in 2019, and to have a short tournament prior to that will be a great opportunity for the team to prepare themselves.

Hong Kong are likely to be the fourth team to participate in this competition, while South Africa and New Zealand have verbally agreed to take part in the competition, according to reports. However, the AIFF is still waiting for an official confirmation.
India won the inaugural edition of Inter-Continental Champions Cup's last year. Alongside India, Saint Kitts & Nevis, and Mauritius also took part in the tri-nation competition. The Blue Tigers won against Mauritius 2-1 and drew against Saint Kitts & Nevis to ultimately win the tournament.
What's next?
The tournament is to be held from June 1st to 8th, which will likely be played in Mumbai or Bangalore. Stephen Constantine and the Indian team will be participating in the Asian Cup which will be held in 2019.
Author's take
South Africa and New Zealand, both participated in the World Cup in 2010 and they have a highly experienced side. It will be great for the Indian team to face such sides ahead of the Asian Cup.
