Inter Milan‘s Argentinean striker Diego Milito is set to make a full return from injury after finding the back on the net while playing for the reserve team against Lugano on Saturday.
Milito has not played a match in six months after picking up a ligament injury in the Europa League match against CFR Cluj in February.
In an interview with Inter Milan’s official channel he said: “I hope soon to be back at my best, be well and able to help the manager when he needs it. The worst has passed, there’s not much time left till I return,”
“It was brilliant scoring again; it’s the greatest joy for any attacker. But more than that, it was good just to get some minutes out on the pitch.”
The 34-year-old, who has netted 73 goals for the Nerazzurri, helped them to a treble in 2010 under Jose Mourinho’s leadership.
