Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan has agreed a contract to extend its sponsorship deal with car company Volvo. As a part of the deal Volvo will retain the title as the top sponsor of the team and will supply new Volvo XC60 model to the club’s squad and staff.
The deal will be and extension to the first agreement signed between the two in 2007 and the financial terms and length of the deal were not disclosed.
“I’m glad our partnership is set to continue, not just because I’m a fan, but also because lots of players and their friends have now become Volvo lovers, and that’s recognition for our brand, our products and the values they stand for,” said Michele Crisci, Volvo Car Italia president.
Inter Milan chief executive Marco Fassone said that the club is greatly satisfied with the extension.
“As a club we take great satisfaction in renewing this collaboration which, since 2007, has represented shared values and contributed to winning ideas. Inter has chosen Volvo, which means choosing reliability, safety and innovation, with the aim of continuing together on the same successful path,” he said.
