A few months back, I put together a spreadsheet of every minute of playing time in the Jurgen Klinsmann era of managing the United States football team.
Here it is again with updates from the March World Cup qualifiers and the May/June games.Klinsmann Era 3.7.2013.
Interesting tidbits
Tim Howard leads all players in minutes with 2,186.
Carlos Bocanegra, whose international career may well be over based on Klinsmann’s recent rosters, is fifth in minutes with 1,385.
Despite all of his absences through injury or self-imposed exile, Landon Donovan still has more minutes under Klinsmann than DaMarcus Beasley—who was recently given the armband for the Gold Cup over Donovan.
Juan Agudelo, who was not called in for the Gold Cup, has more minutes than forwards Terrence Boyd, Chris Wondolowski and Will Bruin.
Alejandro Bedoya, Joe Corona, Stuart Holden and Mix Diskerud have a combined 64 minutes of playing time in the Jurgen Klinsmann era.
Mix Diskerud has the least amount of playing time in the Klinsmann era with three minutes.
