Arsenal were handed an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Southampton at St. Mary’s on Boxing Day as they missed their chance to go on top of the Premier League. It was right-back Cuco Martina who scored the opener from 30 metres out.

The goal was followed by a brace from Shane Long, and a header from Jose Fonte to seal their well-deserved victory.
