Inter's Chivu close to Russia move

Veteran defender Chivu looks set for a move to Russia

Cristian Chivu’s agent has said that a move for the defender from Italian giants Inter could be close, according to Yahoo! Sport.

The 32-year-old’s contract expires next year, but his agent confirmed that discussions have taken place with Inter over the possibility of early termination.

“Chivu could leave Inter,” Victor Becali told Russian newspaper Izvestia.

“We just need to find a satisfactory agreement for the early termination of the contract.”

Dynamo Moscow have been strong favourites to sign Chivu, who has made 114 appearances for the Nerazzurri in 6 years at the club.
