Is that a goodbye?: Jose Mourinho lauds Real Madrid fans

With Jose Mourinho’s return to Chelsea looking all but official, he finally broke his silence before his final Real Madrid match against Osasuna on Saturday. The match will bring an end to Mourinho’s three-year stay at the Bernabeau.

Having hardly spoken publicly in the past few days, Mourinho took to the club’s official website on Friday night to issue a small statement.

“I wish everyone associated with Real Madrid much happiness in the future,” the statement read. “I appreciate the support of lots of fans and respect the criticism of others.

“Once again, a lot of happiness to everyone and, above all, good health. Hala Madrid!”
