Delhi Dynamos FC are all set to host the high-flying Bengaluru FC in their 5th home game of the ISL 2017/18 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. Delhi lost their previous encounter against the Blues by a big margin of three goals and will look to avenge their defeat tonight.
After winning their opening fixture against Pune, Delhi are still looking for their second victory in the league and are currently at the bottom of the points table. Delhi Dynamos' win-less streak of eight games is the longest ever in the league's history. They are also the only team who haven't managed to score a single point at home.
On the other side, Bengaluru FC dropped to second spot in the league table last night and will aim to claim the top spot once again. They are coming at the back of two consecutive wins. Interestingly, this is the thirrd time Bengaluru have won two consecutive games this season but they have not managed to win three games on the trot. They will surely aim to change the trend while facing the Dynamos.
Delhi Dynamos FC
Delhi Dynamos head coach Miguel Portugal surely did not expect the season to take such a turn after winning the opening game. He believes his boys deserve more and is hoping for better results going forward. He accepted that his side is now in a do-or-die situation and every game is nothing less than a final for Lions.
After injury to their newly singed goal keeper Xabier in last game, we are expecting Arnab and Guyon Fernandes to replace Xabier and Sekar in the starting XI. He will continue to field his boys in 4-1-4-1 formation to use the width to great effect.
Delhi Dynamos FC Probable Starting XI: Arnab, Pritam, Rodrigues, Cichero, Lumu, Moya, Paulinho, Romeo, Chhangte, Ngaihte, Guyon.
Bengaluru FC
Bengaluru FC head coach Albert Roca seems to be quite happy with the performance of his side so far in the season. Despite facing the bottom of the table side, he is not going to take it an easy encounter. However, he believes his side is one of the most balanced teams in the league.
The Spaniard is not expected to make any changes to the winning combination from the last game. Roca is going to field his boys in 4-2-3-1 formation to control the ball in the mid-field reason. Lenny Rodrigues might make an early appearance in place of Udanta tonight.
Bengaluru FC Probable Starting XI: Gurpreet, Khabra, Bheke, Juanan, Subhasish, Paartalu, Dimas, Udanta, Gracia, Chhetri, Miku.
Prediction
Delhi Dynamos FC 0-4 Bengaluru FC
We are expecting Bengaluru FC to take home all three points tonight and claim the top spot in the league standings. Delhi Dynamos will have to play out of their skins to break the strong Bengaluru defence.
