An early evening kickoff saw the FC Pune City side host FC Goa at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune in the Match No. 82 of the Hero Indian Super League.
FC Pune City is vying to fix their spot in the ISL playoffs as they lie in the second spot in the standings behind leaders Bengaluru FC with 29 points from their 16 matches. FC Goa, on the other hand, is in the seventh spot after losing their initial form in the league. FC Goa has 21 points from their fifteen matches in the season.
FC Goa kept their playoffs hopes intact winning when it counted the most as they put on a formidable second-half showing to win 4-0 at the Balewadi Stadium. Coro scored two to maintain the lead at the top of scorer's standings with Hugo Boumous and Manuel Lanzarote adding the other goals. Marcelinho was sent off in the second half for a second bookable offence adding further to Pune's misery.

Vishal Kaith (4/10) - The India U-23 keeper had a decent first half producing a lot of saves between the sticks for the game but conceded a penalty goal. He had a poor second period as Goa put three past him adding to his misery even further.
Rafael Lopez (5/10) - The Spaniard defender had a harrowing game in the defence as the Gaurs went on a tear in the second half of the match scoring three goals.
Sarthak Golui (4/10) - The right-back of the Pune side was troubled by the dynamic Goa attack on his flank as he struggled tonight. His misery was further increased as he conceded a penalty in the second half of the match with a handball offence.
Sahil Panwar (4.5/10) - The Pune defender had a tough time on the flank dealing with the attacking threat of Boumous along with Coro on his flank.
Adil Khan (5/10) - The versatile Adil Khan played as a central defender today for the home side but conceded a penalty when he brought down Hugo Boumous inside the box.
Jewel Raja (4.5/10) - The Indian played alongside Tebar in the midfield but struggled against the Goan attack. He was replaced at the start of the second half by Isaac Vanmalsawma.
Marko Stankovic (5/10) - The midfielder played just behind the strikers and did well with his attacking instincts and runs into the box.
Marcos Tebar (4.5/10) - The midfielder played as a defensive cover for the home side but was ineffective for the most part of the match and was substituted early on in the second half of the match when Lucca replaced him.
Ashique Kuruniyan (5.5/10) - The youngster made his return to the starting lineup for the FC Pune City side and kept the defenders on their toes with his pace on the right flank.
Diego Carlos (5.5/10) - The Brazilian played on the left wing for the home side and did well with his runs on the flank and movement into the box.
Marcelo Pereira (6/10) - The skipper of the Pune team was the major attacking influence as he kept threatening the Goa goal with his movement but was unsuccessful in his numerous attempts. He was sent off in the 80th minute when he was booked for the second time for a rash foul on Pronay Halder.
Substitutes:
Jonathan Lucca (4.5/10) - The midfielder replaced Marcos Tebar at the start of the second half as Popovic tweaked things after the second goal by FC Goa.
Isaac Vanmalsawma (4.5/10) - The youngster came on early in the second half when he replaced Jewel Raja in the midfield.
Lolo Ortiz (4/10) - The midfielder replaced Stankovic in the midfield as Pune resorted to damage control in the second half.
FC Goa
Naveen Kumar (6/10) - The keeper for the Gaurs had a fairly busy first half with Marcelinho knocking on the Goa goal a couple of times. He was not as busy in the second half as Goa took control of the game.
Narayan Das (6/10) - The left-back for the away side made a lot of overlapping runs and put in good crosses into the box for Coro and co to attack. He did well defensively as well dealing with Ashique Kuruniyan on the flank.
Seriton Fernandes (6/10) - The right-back was active on the flank with movement up and down the wing as he combined well with Boumous ahead of him in the midfield.
Sergio Juste (6/10) - The Spaniard defender organized his defence in proper fashion from the back as the Goans did not concede for the first time this season.
Mohamed Ali (6/10) - The young defender played partner to Sergio Juste in defence as they earned the first clean sheet of the season with disciplined defence.
Pronay Halder (6/10) - The former Mumbai City FC man came into the lineup as a result of Edu Bedia's suspension. He played as the first line of defence for the away side as he put in strong challenges in the middle of the park.
Hugo Boumous (8.5/10) - The young Moroccan footballer played in the central midfield for the away side and was booked early on in the match for dissent. He was the driving force for Goa tonight as he did it all - earned a penalty, provided an assist and scored a goal.
Ahmed Jahouh (6/10) - The midfielder played centrally for the Gaurs and controlled the tempo of the attack with his ball distribution and passing skills. He was strong in his tackling and broke up a lot of Pune plays.
Manuel Lanzarote (7/10) - The playmaker made his return to the FC Goa side after serving the suspension and got his name on the scoresheet. He scored the penalty in the first half when Boumous was brought down inside the box.
Mandar Rao Dessai (6/10) - The winger had a quiet night on the office as he was not in his usual form on the flanks. His cross hit the hand of Golui inside the box that led to the second penalty of the match eventually scored by Coro.
Ferran Corominas (8/10) - The Brazilian continued his superb form in front of the goal as he scored two goals in the second half that included one from the spot. He was constantly a threat in the attack for Pune with his movement around the box and was awarded the Hero of the Match for his performance.
Substitutes:
Mark Sifneos (4/10) - The lanky Dutchman replaced Ferran Corominas in the attack as the coach introduced fresh legs in the attack.
Liston Colaco (4/10) - The young 19-year old made an appearance off the bench replacing fellow Goan Mandar Rao Dessai in the attack.
Pratesh Shirodkar (4/10) - The former Mumbai FC came on in the final five minutes to replace Boumous in the midfield as he made his first appearance of the ISL season.
