#4 Mumbai City - Rs. 3.73 crores
Ad

Mumbai City spent the majority of their money on signing striker Balwant Singh, goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya and defender Raju Gaikwad, not elite quality but good enough for the ISL. That said, the Ranbir Kapoor-owned team's Rs 3.73 crore outlay is a bit on the higher side considering none of their Indian players is a regular in the national team.
That aside, Mumbai City also roped in Aiborlang Khongjee, Sanju Pradhan and Mehrajuddin Wadoo for a combined value of Rs 1.08 crores, suggesting that their initial plan in the draft had to be altered as other teams got more favourable picks.
