FC Pune City unveiled their home and away kits today at a grand ceremony at Phoenix Mall in Pune. New co-owner and brand ambassador, Arjun Kapoor was present at the event and launched the kit along with numerous first-team players. Along with Kapoor, CEO Gaurav Modwel also was seen at the event and later talked with the media and the fans ahead of the much awaited ISL 2017 Season 4.
For the upcoming campaign, the Stallions tweaked their previous season's kit a bit to give shape to this season's armour. The ever synonymous Orange and Purple colours are seen on the home kit with the sleeves being orange along with purple stripes at the front. The kit is manufactured for the fourth season in a row by Adidas with Pune City being the only club in India to have an affiliation with the branding giants.
The away kit is a classic one and is sure to win the hearts of the supporters! The away colours are crisp white with blue lines on the seam. It has not been overcomplicated and looks absolutely brilliant on the players. To see their players and Bollywood sensation - Arjun Kapoor live, hundreds of Pune City supporters made their presence felt at the venue.
Arjun Kapoor spotted the home kit at the event and accompanying him were first-team players such as Marcelino, Jonaton Lucca, Emiliano Alfaro, Marcos Tebar, Kean Lewis, Adil Rashid, Baljit Sahni and Vishal Kaith. The event was streamed live on the social media page of the Stallions.
On the minimally tweaked new home kit, CEO Modwel reflected, "Jerseys carry the badge of our club which our players, fans and all associated with the club hold in high regard and pride. A fusion of high-performance wear and a minimalist change ensures our home jersey remains contemporary and at the same time, rooted in our city's heritage."
FC Pune City begin their ISL campaign on November 22 against Delhi Dynamos at their home turf, the Balewadi stadium.
