Marco Materazzi
The World Cup winner arrived in Indian in 2014 for Chennaiyin FC and played for them for two seasons. He also managed the Super Machans in the 2015 season and won the league in fine fashion. Though Materazzi did not have a long run in the Premier League with Everton, his long association with the ISL makes him a must in this list.
Mikael Silvestre
The five-time Premier League winner joined Chennaiyin FC for the first edition of the league and made 14 appearances. Silvestre played just one season in India but bringing him to the country was then considered as a big feat. Silvestre also played for Arsenal and Inter Milan in his peak years and has a Champions League medal with the Red Devils.
John Arne Riise
The marauding left back was brought to the ISL by Delhi Dynamos in 2015. Riise played for the Dynamos for one season before opting to sign for Chennaiyin FC. The Norwegian played as a centre back in India and often displayed his rocket of a shot. He is considered as a cult player during his time with Liverpool where he spent seven long years after joining from AS Monaco.
