What's the story?
The fourth edition of the Indian Super League is all set to get underway on Friday and will feature a total of 10 teams this time around after the addition of Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC to the competition.
Two-time semifinalists Delhi Dynamos will look to better their go one step ahead this time around and have built a strong squad ahead of the new season, with a core consisting of some of the finest Indian talent on offer.
Leading the line for the Dynamos will be Nigerian forward Kalu Uche, who played for FC Pune City in ISL Season 2. Uche will also captain the Delhi side this season, a source confirmed to Sportskeeda and an official announcement regarding the same is expected soon.

The Nigerian is one of the most experienced players in the ISL this season, having spent the major portion of his professional career in Spain. He has made nearly 200 appearances for Almeria, along with spells at Espanyol and Levante.
The heart of the matter
Delhi start as strong challengers for the ISL title, having made some astute picks in the draft ahead of the new season. In goal, they have Albino Gomes, who won the I-League crown with Aizawl FC earlier this year.
Pritam Kotal, Gabriel Cichero and Sena Ralte will form the core of the defence while in midfield, they have the likes of Seityasen Singh and Romeo Fernandes, along with youngsters such as Vinit Rai and Lallianzuala Chhangte, who are rated quite highly by the coach.

Delhi will open their campaign with a match away to Uche's former side Pune on November 22.

Given the Nigerian's experience, it is a good decision by the Dynamos management to hand the captain's armband to him.
