The high-spirited Bengaluru FC are ready to host Delhi Dynamos FC in their 2nd successive home game of ISL 2017 at the Kanteerava Stadium. Both Bengaluru and Delhi had a taste of victory in their opening games against Mumbai City FC and FC Pune City respectively.
Bengaluru FC had a game to remember on their ISL debut, where they defeated Mumbai 2-0. More importantly, they hardly allowed their opponents to take an attempt at their goal.
After defeating one of the formidable attacking units of ISL 2017, FC Pune City, Delhi will look to continue their goalscoring form to register their 2nd away win in as many games.
Let’s see what both sides have to offer in their second game of the ISL 2017.
Bengaluru FC
Bengaluru boss Albert Roca must be happy with the fact that they are the only team so far to have managed to win a game with a clean-sheet. They allowed their opponents just one shot in the entire game.
With multiple options available in attack, Roca might look to give a start to Toni Rodriguez in place of Nicolas Flores as the earlier had a great cameo in their first game. With the kind of attacking options available, Roca is likely to play with 3-4-3 formation tonight.
Bengaluru FC Probable Starting XI (3-4-3): Gurpreet, Bheke, Juan, Johnson, Khabra, Lenny, Paartalu, Eduardo, Udanta, Chhetri, Rodriguez.
Delhi Dynamos FC
Delhi head coach Miguel Angel Portugal has all the reasons to be proud of his boys after their performance in the first game. Considering the way they have conceded their two goals against Pune, he might have some concerns on the defensive front.
The Delhi gaffer is expected to keep a balance in attack and defence and will like to line his side up in the 4-1-4-1 formation tonight. We can expect the first start for the Goan winger Romeo Fernandes in place of Vinit Rai.
Delhi Dynamos Probable Starting XI (4-2-3-1): Gomes, Kotal, Pratik, Cichero, Sena Ralte, Paulinho, Guyon, Mirabaje, Chhangte, Romeo, Uche.
Prediction:
Bengaluru FC 2-1 Delhi Dynamos FC
The home side Bengaluru FC have a clear edge over the Delhi and expected to continue their winning momentum at home. Delhi will require a lot of hard work to break the Bengaluru defence and find the back of the net.
