The second match of the ISL Season 4 will see NorthEast United FC take on tournament first-timers Jamshedpur FC. Both sides made some shrewd signings during the draft but it remains to be seen how they can translate this on to the pitch.
It's hard to pick a favourite in this one but these five players could in all probability decide the outcome of the game. Let's take a look at the men who can make the difference!
#5 Lalrindika Ralte
Lalrindika Ralte was a regular for both his previous ISL clubs - Mumbai City FC and ATK. It is a given that the attacking midfielder will once again pull the strings, this time for NEUFC. On paper, the Highlanders are not the most attack-oriented side.
Hence, it will be vital that Ralte gets on the ball as much as possible to orchestrate his teams attack. While his passing abilities are well known, Ralte also has a stellar left foot capable of catching the keeper off guard from distance.

#4 Kervens Belfort
Jamshedpur probably made their wisest move by signing up Kervens Belfort. The former Kerala Blasters striker played a pivotal role last season for the southern outfit. He was part of 15 matches and managed to score three goals.
However, his real impact lies on the wings. Belfort loves to stick to the wide areas and as a result, attracts defenders towards him. This gives his teammates additional space to work the ball through the middle of the park. The Haitian will be ruthless if given an opportunity on the counter.
#3 Marcio de Souza
The most important signing for NEUFC this season will be Brazilian midfielder, Marcio de Souza. The 31-year-old played 25 matches for Turkish outfit Gaziantepspor this year. It's safe to say, Marcio is fit and raring to go.
Expect the team to revolve around his moves and passes. If NEUFC are to win the battle of the midfield against Jamshedpur, they will need Marico to be at his attentive best. A lot will depend on how successful the Brazilian manages to pull the strings.
#2 Anas Edathodika
The most expensive signing at the draft, all eyes will be on Anas Edathodika. Having begun his professional career exactly 10 years back with I-league outfit Mumbai FC, Anas is now at the peak of his game. The center back even made his debut for India this year and looked rock solid.
Over the past two years, Anas has truly come into his own. His aggressive approach as a defender has its fair share of risks, however, he thrives when he plays his natural game.
#1 Sameehg Doutie
In Sameehg Doutie, Jamshedpur have one of the best wingers in the ISL. The 28-year-old has always been a joy to watch when he was at ATK. He is one of the few players in the league who is not afraid to take on a full back in a one-on-one situation.
It's a refreshing sight to see him work his way across the wide areas and his partnership with Kervens Belfort could cause chaos in the opposition box if it clicks. Having endured a relatively silent 2017 during which he hardly started any games for Ajax Cape Town F.C, Doutie will be itching to get back on duty.
