Delhi Dynamos FC are all set to host the high-flying FC Goa in their third consecutive home game of ISL 2017 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Saturday. The hosts are still looking for their first win as well as first goal on the home turf, while FC Goa will aim for a hat-trick of wins tonight.
Delhi Dynamos are coming into this game on the back of back-to-back losses in their first two home games, where they could not find the back of the net even once. Considering FC Goa’s goal-scoring form, it is going to be the biggest challenge for the Lions tonight.
On the other hand, FC Goa are in brilliant form and scored 5 goals against Kerala Blasters in their last game, which is the highest by a team in a single ISL 2017 game. The Gaurs have scored 13 goals in just four games, which is the joint-highest of this season along with Bengaluru FC (four games). Going by Delhi’s form, this could be a cakewalk for FC Goa and they might join the table toppers Bengaluru FC with 12 points.
Delhi Dynamos FC
After a brilliant performance against FC Pune City in their season opener, Delhi Dynamos have lost their rhythm completely. They are currently on a three-game losing streak, which is the longest losing streak of this season. The Lions surely need to bounce back and give some celebratory moments to their home fans.
With Delhi custodian Albino Gomes being injured, the Delhi head coach Miguel Portugal will have to make a couple of changes. We are expecting Sukhdev Patil and Romeo Fernandes to start their first game in place of Chhangte and Gomes. Portugal is most likely to field his side in his favoured formation of 4-1-4-1 to keep a balance between attack and defence.
Delhi Dynamos FC Probable Starting XI: Sukhdev, Kotal, Cichero, Pratik, Munmum, Vinit, Paulinho, Lumu, Guyon, Romeo, Uche.
FC Goa
FC Goa head coach Sergio Lobera seems to be delighted with the goal-scoring form of his team and is quite confident of scoring a hat-trick of wins tonight against the struggling Delhi Dynamos. However, he also accepts the fact that they have not been able to keep a clean sheet in any of their games so far.
The Goa boss is expected not to make any changes in the winning XI and will look to continue his attack heavy formation of 4-2-3-1 to play the high pressing game against the Delhi defence. However, Robin Singh might make an early appereance against his former side depending on the situation.
FC Goa Probable Starting XI: Kattimani, Seriton, Pinheiro, Ali, Das, Jahouh, Bedia, Brandon, Lanzarote, Mandar, Corominas.
Prediction
Delhi Dynamos FC 1-3 FC Goa
We are expecting FC Goa to continue their brilliant goal-scoring form and take home all the three points. That means Delhi will have to wait for some more time to register their first home win of this season.
