Manuel Lanzarote had created 19 major chances prior to the match this season and 49 chances since the start of last season, the most for any player in the league in that period of time.

Lanzarote was mostly invisible in the first half but his set-piece deliveries in the second half were excellent. Just after the hour mark, a brilliant free kick by the 34-year old saw the ball go dangerously into the six-yard box but was headed away by Goain.

Another free-kick was delivered by the Spanish winger in the 70th minute, just outside the six-yard box but was punched away by the outstretched Mumbai City goalkeeper.
