#2 Early Bengaluru goal does not deter Chennaiyin FC
Going down to an early goal in a final is the worst possible situation to be in. Sunil's opener gave the home fans all the more reason to make themselves heard as they created a hostile atmosphere inside the stadium.
But that did not deter Chennaiyin one bit. In fact, it spurred them on. No less than 8 minutes later, they scored the equaliser courtesy a towering header from Mailson Alves. Dead ball specialist, Gregory Nelson delivered a sublime cross from a corner and the centre-back rose highest, nestling his header past a hapless, Gurpreet Singh.
John Gregory's men could have easily crumbled but they displayed immense character to score the equaliser and never for one moment did they put their heads down. The home fans did not see that coming.
