It seems that the Brazilian midfielder Wellington Priori just can't stop scoring as he managed to pull another proverbial rabbit out of the hat as he scored the 200th goal of this Indian Super League season. After scoring a fantastic overhead bicycle kick against his former club North East United FC on Matchday 69, the Brazilian scored an outstanding goal to give his team Jamshedpur FC the lead.
Jamshedpur FC went into halftime as Wellington scored a wonder goal from outside the box at the half-hour mark. A free-kick was played in the box and the ball was not cleared away well enough and after a series of ricochets inside the penalty box, the ball fell into the path of the Brazilian on the right-hand side, who volleyed it into the bottom left corner beyond the reach of the scrambling Chennayin FC keeper Karanjit Singh.
The 28-year-old, who has played in only six matches for the Jamshedpur outfit this season, has managed 3 goals and an assist and is currently going through a purple patch. This is his second stint in the Indian Super League, previously he played for North East United FC during the 2016 campaign and made 12 appearances for the Highlanders.
The midfielder has been effective, when employed in his attacking role this season and looks all set to give Steve Coppell's men another big boost in their hopes for a spot in the playoffs with an important win.
