Harpreet Singh: The former Tata football academy product has impressed in the various youth tournaments. This will be the first taste of ISL and the 23-year-old defender is expected to get the nod due to his versatility. The energetic and fearless youngster is sure to score tackle points for your team.
Midfielders:
Jonatan Lucca: The Brazilian midfielder is a strong defensive player who isn’t afraid to take one for the team, he also has the ability to build play from the back. A reputed free kick taker, Lucca scored 3 goals for FC Goa before swapping his Goa jersey for The Stallions in ISL 2016 where he managed 5 assists in the 14 matches he played, no player had managed more assists in ISL 2016. He is a must pick for your fantasy teams.
Romeo Fernandes: Tricky winger Romeo Fernandes was the unsung hero in Goa’s run to the semi-finals in ISL 2014 and finals ISL 2015. The pacy winger has contributed with 13 goals (6 goals and 7 assists) so far in the ISL, the most by an Indian midfielder. His fine performances earned him a loan move to Clube Atletico Paranaense, where he became the first Indian to play for a South American side at senior level. He was below par in ISL 2016 where Goa struggled badly, but he will look to bounce back in ISL 2017 and replicate his fine form of ISL 2014 and 2015.
Paulinho Dias: Brazilian midfielder Paulo Henrique Dias was Delhi Dynamos first foreign recruit this season. Paulinho has great movement on and off the ball and his ability to bring his teammates into play will be a massive threat for the opposition defence. He has the potential to score tackling, as well as passing points.
Seityasen Singh: Seityasen was picked up for Rs 56 lakh in the 2017 ISL draft, highlighting the faith the team management has in him. He played 9 matches in ISL 2016 scoring 2 goals. The 25-year-old’s pace, energy and shooting ability means he has the potential to score fantasy points.
Forwards
Kalu Uche: Nigerian striker Kalu Uche is expected to lead Delhi Dynamos attack. The powerful striker has been in sensational form for Delhi Dynamos in preseason scoring 7 goals. He also has prior experience of ISL having played for FC Pune City in ISL 2015 scoring 4 goals.
Marcelinho: Brazilian winger Marcelinho made everyone sit up and take notice by producing a series of stellar performances in ISL 2016 for Delhi Dynamos, he was the top scorer in ISL 2016 with 10 goals. The Brazilian also had the most goal contributions - 15 (10 goals + 5 assists), only Stiven Mendoza had more goal contributions in an ISL season.
Emiliano Alfaro: The Uruguayan forward Emiliano Alfaro played for NorthEast United FC in ISL 2016 and proved to be a lethal marksman scoring 5 goals, the most by a NorthEast United player. His movement in the box coupled with his deadly finishing, makes him one of the best strikers of ISL 2017. With Pune a strong midfield to feed him, he is likely to be more dangerous this time around.
