Sushil Meitei had a disappointing season with NorthEast United FC as he only made one appearance for the club, that too from the bench staying on the pitch for a total number of 7 minutes. In the middle of the season, Meitei was loaned to Fateh Hyderabad, an I-League second division side.

The 21-year-old will be hoping to play a bigger part in the league's proceedings this season with NEROCA boasting only one sure starter - Katsumi Yusa - in the wide positions as of now. Sushil Meitei will have to compete with the likes of Malemngamba Meitei for a spot in the starting XI.
