Jovel Martins was picked up by FC Goa in the draft of Season 4 of the Indian Super League. Six months on, he was loaned to Churchill Brothers without making any appearance for the Goa-based side. He did not even make it to the 18-man squad for any ISL fixture in the 2017-18 season.

Churchill Brothers signed Martins after a good 3-month spell with the club in which he made 5 appearances for the club. The Goan midfielder would be expected to put in a shift at left-back as well if deemed necessary by the management.
