Inter Milan legend and ex-Argentina international Javier Zanetti has been hijacked at gunpoint, according to reports in Argentina.
Argentine daily Diario Popular, have claimed that the newly appointed Inter Milan vice-president was driving in a 4x4 along with his father, when confronted by the gunmen.
The 40-year old, who retired from professional football last season was on vacation in the Banfield area where the incident had taken place, and ultimately were made to leave the vehicle after the robbers threatened to shoot them by pointing guns to their head.
Fortunately, Zanetti and his father were unharmed from the incidents. The miscreants have been reportedly nabbed by the police soon after.
According to the Sport, Zanetti’s wife Paula had faced a similar situation two years ago when her Mercedes Benz was stolen along with her personal belongings.
