Joe Cole tipped for permanent move to Lille

A favourite of many England fans, Joe Cole was used only minimally by Kenny Dalglish last season and was consequently loaned out to the French side Lille for the rest of the season. With only nine Premier League starts under his belt least season for Liverpool, Cole moved across the English Channel on a loan spell and has impressed all the right people whilst there, thus prompting talks that he could extend his stay.

“It is not a certainty that he will leave us at the end his contract” said Michel Seydoux who is the Club President of Lille, who is now looking to offer Cole a permanent deal.

Cole has two years left on his contract at Liverpool, and he is certainly relishing the opportunity to show the world how he can play football in his usual impressive way and is looking forward to possibly being reinstated to the England side as he has not played since the end of the 2010 World Cup.

With his impressive career that has also seen him play for the likes of Chelsea and, infamously, West Ham, Joe Cole is bound to have more tricks up his sleeve.
