QPR midfielder Joey Barton is the latest to comment on Uruguay’s Luis Suarez bite. Barton, a player who has his own history of violent conduct on the pitch, took to Twitter to convey his thoughts.
The Liverpool star sunk his teeth into Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini’s shoulders during Uruguay’s group stage match against Italy. FIFA has opened disciplinary proceedings and Suarez is likely to get a two year ban if found guilty.
Barton posted 4 consecutive tweets voicing his opinion on the incident. In his tweets, he mentioned that considering all things, he would rather receive a bite than a leg breaking challenge.
He also stated that he would love to have Suarez in his team for his passion but admitted that he cannot defend him in this matter.
