John Terry is having mixed thoughts about the statement he made at the start of this month, ” That door (International Football) is closed for me. I am really happy with the way I’m playing for Chelsea. I’m just enjoying my football for Chelsea at the moment,” and is now considering his options, reports Mirror.
Terry might make a stellar comeback to the national side and is apparently going to make himself available for England’s friendly with Denmark in March. The Chelsea skipper has been playing brilliantly for Jose Mourinho’s side this season having started 26 games this season and even managed to find the net twice.
The comeback would mean more trouble for England manager Roy Hodgson who has been rejecting the idea of asking Terry to come out of international retirement.
Team-mate Gary Cahill and Everton’s Phil Jagielka have performed well during England’s qualifying campaign, and Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has Hodgson’s personal favourite.
