What's the story?
When asked about giving his verdict on the age-long Ronaldo-Messi debate, Chelsea legend comes up with a very diplomatic answer.
In case you didn't know...
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are among the best footballers of all time and they dominated the world of football for the past decade. Both of them have five Ballon d'Or accolades each and also created a number of individual records for their club and country.
However, deciding the better among them is a never-ending debate, which often divides football fans and experts into two parts.

On the other hand, John Terry is among the best defenders to ever play in the Premier League and won five league titles with Chelsea before retiring from professional football in 2018. He is currently working as an assistant manager for his former club, Aston Villa.
The heart of the matter
John Terry was asked on Instagram about his opinion on this heated debate and he answered it in a very diplomatic way.
He said on his official Instagram account (via GiveMeSport):
"I always say Messi for pure natural talent! But any young footballer out there follow and work as hard as Ronaldo does will have a chance. Two phenomenons.
The Chelsea legend also answered a number of other questions on his social media and revealed that Jose Mourinho was his favourite manager and Chelsea's loss to Man United in the 2008 Champions League final was the worst moment of his career.
What's next?
Messi's Barcelona will play Athletic Bilbao in the league next, whereas, Juventus will make a trip to Emilia-Romagna to play U.S. Sassuolo Calcio on February 10.
Meanwhile, John Terry's Aston Villa is next scheduled to face Sheffield United tomorrow.
