Chelsea skipper John Terry has once again stated that he has no desire of ever putting on an England jersey ever again, ruling himself out of this year’s World Cup in the process.

The 33-year-old has been excellent at the heart of Chelsea’s defense along with Gary Cahill and many were hoping that he would come out of retirement and represent the Three Lions in Brazil.

In spite of many calling for his return to the international scene Terry has stated that he has chosen to spend the summer with his family.

‘100 per cent I’m going to be on my holidays this summer, I’ve made that very clear,’ the defender said.

‘My feelings are very strong on it, maybe people don’t realise that.

‘But I wish the England team and Roy [Hodgson] all the best. I’ll be supporting them hopefully with a nice bit of sun.’

The former England international, who earned 78 caps for his country, was forced to give up the Three Lions captain’s armband after he was suspected of racially abusing then-QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.

Terry was slapped with a four match ban by the FA in spite of being cleared of all charges which convinced him to hang up his boots for England.

The Blues captain will be in action for his team against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final tonight.
