Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has put huge faith in Cesar Azpilicueta by claiming that if the Blues were to have 11 of the Spaniard, they would win the Champions League.
The Spanish full-back has ousted Ashley Cole from the left-back spot and has become a favourite of Mourinho’s as the Blues top the Premier League.
They head into their last-16 first leg Champions League match tonight against Galatasaray and former blue, Didier Drogba, who has actually been linked with a return to the club.
Azpilicueta has been heralded as one of the most important figures in the Chelsea squad by his manager Mourinho, who praised him ahead of the important knockout round match in Turkey.
Mourinho said: “I think a team with 11 Azpilicuetas could probably win the competition.
“Football is not just about pure talent. Football is also about character and personality, and Azpilicueta has all the traces of that winning personality.”
Despite his small size, Azpilicueta has won 6/8 headed duels in the Champions League this season.
