Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has stated that Cristiano Ronaldo is a unique footballer who is unrepeatable and that there will be never be another player like him ever again.
The former Real Madrid boss heaped praise on his countryman even though he had revealed back in September that he doesn’t share a personal relationship with the Blancos forward after he departed from the Spanish capital.
Ronaldo a goalscoring machine according to his former boss Mourinho
But Ronaldo’s 13 goals in 6 La Liga games impressed his former manager who praised his goal-scoring talents and compared him to France World Cup winner and ex-Madrid player Zinedine Zidane.
Talking to Telefoot, Mourinho said,"Ronaldo's an incredible player.”
"It's like Zidane for you [the French], there will be no other. He is incredible, he’s a goalscoring machine."
Ronaldo took part in Portugal’s 2-1 International friendly loss against France where he was substituted in the second half and was seen applying ice to his left knee in the dugout. Real Madrid fans were worried about another knee injury to their superstar, but Ronaldo confirmed that it was a normal routine to prevent any inflammation that might aggravate an on-going but controllable tendinitis problem.
Toni Kroos considers the Madrid forward to the best player in the world
Meanwhile, Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos insisted there is no better player in world football than Ronaldo.
The Real frontman has scored an impressive 17 goals in just 11 matches and Germany international Kroos, speaking to Die Welt, said: 'At the moment, there is no better player than Cristiano. He was one of those who looked out for me at first, he's a really nice guy.'
Having arrived from German champions Bayern Munich for a fee believed to be in the region of £24m, Kroos knows all about playing for one of Europe's top teams and insists the spirit in the Real Madrid camp is 'amazing'.
'I know what it means to play in a team with great individual quality,' said Kroos. 'We all respect each other, the spirit is amazing.
'I was lucky to come from a club with great standards. In Munich, it's more than stepping out on to the field to win - you start the season to win titles. So I didn't have to adapt a lot.
'I enjoy playing in Madrid. Although people may not believe me, it's a family club. I feel that people trust me.'
