Julio Cesar terminated his contract with the Nerazzuri by mutual consent and signed a deal with QPR, bringing an end to his very successful seven years in Milan. Prior to the second leg of Inter’s Europa League qualifier against Vaslui at the San Siro, he stepped out on the pitch and said goodbye and, as he’s known to do, he got a bit emotional.
In an interview with the Brazilian SporTV News in London Julio Cesar said goodbye to Inter and announced he was ready to start his new career in England, at Queens Park Rangers. “I thank president Moratti for the seven wonderful years we have spent together, each of them truly amazing,” declared Julio Cesar. “I will ask him if before the match against Roma I can say farewell to all the fans at San Siro and also hug the players on the pitch. I want to do that and I think they want to as well. I am sorry that I wasn’t able to do the pre-season training with them. Everyone thought it was a bit strange and I don’t think the president can deny that”.
