Former Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes revealed that he has strictly advised Manchester United target Toni Kroos against leaving the club.
“I spoke with Toni,” said Heynckes while speaking in an interview with German website Sport1. “If he takes my words seriously, he will stay. A team like Bayern are not currently available in Europe.”
“He would be well advised to extend. At present he has a good offer from Bayern. Toni knows also. I hope that his advisor also knows.”
Kroos has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since the last transfer window, and has a contract that expires in an year.
Heynckes had retired last season after he led Bayern Munich to become the first German club to complete the treble of the domestic league, the domestic cup and the European Cup.
