Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke says he would never sack manager Jurgen Klopp and knows that the former Mainz player, 46, would always honour his contract, say Sky Sports.
Klopp took charge of Dortmund in 2008 and led the club to two Bundesliga titles, a DFB Pokal Cup and the UEFA Champions League final last year.
Klopp’s current deal sees him at the helm at Signal Iduna Park until 2016 but Watzke says he can stay for as long as he wants to.
“I would never sack Jurgen Klopp,” Watzke told Kicker Sportmagazine. “Never, no way! I know he does not sign contracts to break those deals.
“Klopp has never done that at any time. He is under contract with Borussia Dortmund until June 2016.
“He will always honour the deal. There is no doubt about that.”
