Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp on Saturday said fans should not complain about the football club's meagre ticket allocation for the Europa League final and has asked the ticketless fans to travel to Basel on May 18.

Liverpool and Sevilla will each receive only 10,236 tickets for the final at the St Jakob-Park, having qualified with triumphs over Villarreal and Shakhtar Donetsk respectively on Thursday. The stadium has a capacity of 35,000.

"What I learned in life is what I can't change I don't think about. It's a wonderful opportunity and we can't change the stadium. It's a wonderful stadium and wonderful city. It's worth going even if you don't have a ticket, to enjoy the city," Klopp was quoted as saying by the Guardian.

"We can't think about the size of the stadium. If you ask who wants to see this final you will find 30 million people so there is no chance. It's like this."

But European football governing body UEFA has advised the Liverpool fans who would be there without a ticket to stay away from the stadium.

"We advise anyone without tickets not to approach the stadium on the day of the final since safety and security measures will be very tight," said a statement.

"The stadium perimeter will be reinforced in order to guarantee safe and secure entrance for all ticket holders."
