On a day when two big managerial changes took place, Manchester United announcing the appointment of Louis Van Gaal and Barcelona appointing Van Gaal’s ex-player, Luis Enrique, Juventus too took to twitter to discuss their managerial post. Antonio Conte, who despite leading Juve to three successive Serie A titles, potentially was facing an exit from Turin due to his European form. Clubs like Manchester United had been linked with the Italian manager.
But with a simple tweet, Juventus put any doubt about his position at the club to bed, ending speculation and hopefully preventing it from creeping back in. Conte will now have to convince the Juventus hierarchy of his position in the 14/15 season by a good European display, or risk more questions being asked.
