#1 Cristiano Ronaldo effectively finishing off his chances

The big man has simply been a different animal in the Champions League this season. Coming into this game on the back of scoring in his nine previous European games, Ronaldo added a double in Turin and continued to be the big match player for his side.
Juventus had their spells of possession in the first half and created a number of threatening chances. But the difference between the two side's attacks was a certain Cristiano Ronaldo. He took both of his chances brilliantly and could have even had a couple more.
His first came courtesy of a perfect run into the six-yard box, expertly gauging the time of Isco's pass and bamboozling the Juventus centre-backs to score a goal with the outside of his boot.
His second will rightly dominate the headlines in the coming weeks as it was a stunning overhead kick that led even the Juventus supporters to stand and applaud the legend of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo's strike was a piece of art, stuff which you will tell your kid as a bedtime story in the future - "How Cristiano Ronaldo conquered Turin?" His double on the night meant Ronaldo has now scored 22 goals in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, one more than Juventus have ever managed.
He also became the first man in the history of the competition to score in 10 successive European games. Take a bow, sir!
