Ronaldo scored from a free-kick to draw Juventus level
The Portuguese continued on the left side of the attack, a position that is earmarked for him in the Juventus team. Ronaldo was quite decent in the defeat against Tottenham, but he was lacking match fitness, as is normally the case in pre-season games. However, the Portuguese still managed to score a goal against Spurs, highlighting his importance to this Juventus team.

Against Inter too, Ronaldo was the main attacking threat at the beginning of the first half, driving at the opposition defense and trying to take them on his own. He was full of tricks and flicks but still seemed to lack the little spark that sets him apart from others. Despite that, a moment of magic from the Portuguese was still enough to help Juventus make a comeback into the game.
And so, when Juventus won a free-kick near the box in the 68th minute, up stepped Ronaldo. His free-kick got a lucky deflection off the Inter wall and sailed into the far corner. Juventus were level! He also converted his penalty kick during the tiebreaker and helped Sarri register his first win as the Juventus manager.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
