Because Atletico piled up the bodies in the center to contain the threat of the forward players of Juventus, it left a lot of space down the sides and Allegri made optimum use of the opportunity to influence the game.
Juventus sent in crosses all through the night and their tactics got the better of Atletico. It was from two such balls from the wings that Ronaldo scored two goals and set the home side on course to win the tie.
