Italian Serie A football clubs Juventus and Atalanta have been fined €50,000 for the crowd trouble that caused an eight minute suspension of their Wednesday game.

The match, which Juventus won 1-0 in Bergamo, was halted as the home side’s supporters threw objects at a bus full of Juventus fans outside the stadium, and inside it the two sets of supporters threw fireworks and other objects on to each other, reports Xinhua.

Juventus head coach Antonio Conte and players from both teams had to stop the match and plead with the supporters to stay calm.

The Serie A Disciplinary Commission released a report Thursday revealing that five people were injured in the clashes, which saw tiles broken off from the stadium toilets and used as projectiles.

Napoli were fined €3,000 because staff members insulted the opposition bench, while coach Walter Mazzarri received a €15,000 fine for dissent.
