Juventus have set their sights on Nicolo Zaniolo
Tottenham Hotspur were linked with a move for Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo as they looked to strengthen their midfield, ahead of the new season. The Premier League side were keen on the Italian, however, that interest has recently cooled down as Spurs have turned their attention towards Giovani Lo Celso of Real Betis and Sporting CP's Bruno Fernandes.

Following Tottenham's indecision, Juventus have accelerated their interests in the Italian and are looking to seal a deal as soon as possible. Zaniolo made 36 appearances for AS Roma last season, scoring six goals and registering two assists. Still only 19 years old, he has a bright future ahead of him and already looks a settled player. Zaniolo has great dribbling skills and can play either as an attacking midfielder or a right forward, and is quite effective in both roles.
Tottenham had previously submitted a £40 million bid before turning their attention elsewhere. However, Juventus are apparently more interested in a player plus cash deal for Zaniolo.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
