Alessandro Del Piero – Juventus
Italian and Juventus legend Alessandro del Piero, another casualty of the 1997/98 side which lost the final to Real Madrid, didn’t declare any clear favourites for tonight’s clash citing that the two teams have won the respective leagues in their country.
Del Piero spent 19 seasons in Turin with Juventus and won all that there is to win. The Italian striker insisted that he will encourage his former side and hopes that they come home with the trophy.
"I don't think there's a clear favourite in Cardiff. They are two teams that have the same possibilities, more or less, to win the tournament. They are champions in their leagues and I think they are the best teams at this moment."
"I have an infinite respect for Real Madrid, the club, team and coach and their fantastic fans. But, of course, in Cardiff I will encourage Juventus. I hope you understand. [laughs]." ~ Alessandro del Piero
Antoine Griezmann – Juventus
Considered by many to be the 3rd best footballer in the world only behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Mess, Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann has backed the Old Lady to come out victorious in tonight’s clash. Not only that, speaking in an interview with Cadena Ser’s El Larguero, he even backed Gianluigi Buffon to win the Ballon d’Or.
"Juventus will win the Champions League and therefore Gigi Buffon the Ballon d'Or." ~ Antoine Griezmann
