Italian giants Juventus have rubbished reports that Fernando Llorente could be sold before the end of the transfer window.
The Spanish forward is being linked with a loan move to Barcelona despite just arriving at Juventus from Bilbao.
“We believe in Llorente,” Juventus director general Beppe Marotta was quoted as saying in Thursday’s Tuttosport. “We have no intention of selling him.”
Speculation began after he was absent from the starting line-up in both of Juventus’s two matches so far this season.
Manager Antonio Conte started Mirko Vucinic and Carlos Tevez in the wins over Lazio and Sampdoria.
