Turin, Oct 20 (IANS) Juventus' veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has said his team-mate Gonzalo Higuain is an example on and off the pitch, and the Italian football club needs players like the Argentine striker.
In an interview published on Thursday by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, the Juventus captain explained that he is impressed by Higuain's "professionalism and positivity", reports Efe.
"I challenge anyone to come in and be the best and highest paid striker and sit on the bench four times, yet he's been an example on and off the pitch," Buffon said.
The Italian goalkeeper stressed that Juventus needs players like Higuain, as well as Medhi Benatia and Dani Alves.
Buffon admitted that he would like to work as a coach in the future.
