Khumaltar Youth Club have claimed the Nepal ‘C’ Division Football League and gained promotion to the ‘B’ Division here at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Khumaltar defeated Gyan Bhairav Club 4-2 in their last league match to lift the title. Sabin KC scored two, while Bikash Jagebu and Suraj Raut netted one goal each for the winners to lift the trophy and take the club to the B division. The winning team also received a cash prize of NRs. 200,000.
Chhewang Lama Jhakri of Gyan Bhairav Club, Yam Bahadur Khadka of Nava Jyoti Club, Saiman Limbu of Sano Gaucharan Youth Club and Diwas Gurung of Khumaltar were adjudged the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and striker respectively. Pradip Maharjan of the winning side was named the best coach of the league. All the individuals award winners received Rs. 10,000 each.
C division is the third tier national football league of Nepal organized annually by the All-Nepal Football Association; A division is the highest category league in the country.
