Arsenal’s deadline day signing Kim Källström has spoken for the first time as a Gunner, talking of his respect for the club’s players and management before continuing on his ambitions for the rest of the season. The 31-year-old midfielder joins from Spartak Moscow, for whom he has made 10 league appearances this season.
“Arsenal is an amazing club with a lot of great players and a coach who has done really well here for a long time,” he opened. “I am so pleased to come here to learn as much as possible. I’m here to do my best for Arsenal and to help out the team, so we can achieve good results for the last part of the season.”
Källström’s new boss, Arsene Wenger, lauded his new signing’s experience and praised his “proven quality.”
“Kim Källström is a hugely-experienced player,” said Wenger. ” He is a midfielder with proven quality at both club and international level. We welcome Kim to Arsenal.”
