Kompany: I'm here to stay

2011/2012 Premier League champions Manchester City‘s captain Vincent Kompany has cleared the air, saying he is not moving to Barca anytime soon, and he also encouraged his teammate to do the same.

Last summer, Kompany signed a six year deal with City but this year has been a disappointing one. There has been a lot of speculation over the future of the team’s captain. Kompany has now ended all speculations by stating to The Sun earlier today,

“I have no reason to go elsewhere. I am happy here, I have five years left and if you knew the plans for this team for the future … I consider that to be a real objective.

“We are already preparing for next season and, if Samir can keep up this level of performance, we will really have an exceptional player.”
